Rada Šešiċ

rada-sesic-tsRada Šešiċ is a festival programmer, film lecturer, critic and film director.

Along with her association with the two biggest film festivals in The Netherlands: IDFA Amsterdam and the IFFR Rotterdam, she also heads the Documentary competition at the biggest South East European festival in Sarajevo and co-heads Docu Rough Cut Boutique.

Rada had held position of senior professor as a mentor at The Master of Film at The Netherlands’ Film and TV Academy Amsterdam. She has guest lectured at the University of Amsterdam and Dutch Institute for film education.

After directing several films in former Yugoslavia, she directed ‘Room Without a View’, ‘Soske’,  ‘In Whitest Solitude’ and ‘The Way to School’ in Netherlands. Her films were screened at 60 festivals worldwide and got several awards. Her work was also presented and archived at MoMA New York. As a film critic, Rada’s writings are widely published. With a group of friends, she started Eastern Neighbours FF in The Hague where she is an artistic director. She is also Program advisor of the DOK Leipzig Festival and selector of Let’s CEE Wienna. She served at 35 juries from IDFA to MIFF.
